When was it that you first noticed art can move you?  Was it a piece of music?  A grainy Black & White photograph that had texture you felt you could touch?  A simple painting of a mountain landscape?

I don’t recall the first time I saw a Rafael Tufiño linoleum print, but I do remember feeling that I was looking at something magical.  In a word, I was possessed, and have been captivated ever since. 

July 2008 marks the opening of Galeria Tufiño, in honor of Don Rafael, Pintor del Pueblo, since his passing in March.  Located in Santa Ana, California,  Galeria Tufiño will be dedicated to two purposes: showcasing the work of artists across the Latino Diaspora and providing local nonprofits a venue for fundraising events via art shows.
